Japan and the United States are set to collaborate on research into cyberattacks that utilize artificial intelligence (AI), according to information obtained by Nikkei . The partnership aims to merge U.S. technological advancements with Japan's extensive data on cyber incidents occurring outside English-speaking nations.

The National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Japan, supervised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, plans to set up a research facility in Washington. The work at this facility is anticipated to commence as early as the fiscal year beginning in April.
