Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Media and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Synektik (WA: SNTP ), which rose 5.47% or 10.50 points to trade at 202.60 at the close. Meanwhile, KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA: KGH ) added 5.14% or 6.65 points to end at 136.00 and Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) was up 2.83% or 5.80 points to 211.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA: PGE ), which fell 3.11% or 0.36 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Dino Polska SA (WA: DNP ) declined 3.10% or 16.20 points to end at 505.80 and X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA: XTB ) was down 2.52% or 2.00 points to 77.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 270 to 243 and 106 ended unchanged.
Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.83% or 5.80 to 211.00.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.73% or 0.48 to $65.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.86% or 0.58 to hit $67.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 3.12 to trade at $3,352.92 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.47% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.68% to 3.62.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.59.
