Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports , Insurance and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.64%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS: RALYH ), which rose 10.00% or 10.40 points to trade at 114.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ) added 2.97% or 10.25 points to end at 355.25 and Gen Ilac ve Saglik Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: GENIL ) was up 2.78% or 4.40 points to 162.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tureks Turizm Tasimacilik AS (IS: TUREX ), which fell 9.98% or 1.10 points to trade at 9.92 at the close. Kuyas Yatirim AS (IS: KUYAS ) declined 6.93% or 4.85 points to end at 65.15 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS: CLEBI ) was down 5.23% or 93.00 points to 1,684.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 434 to 147 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.49% or 16.40 to $3,330.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.65% or 1.10 to hit $67.60 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.29% or 0.88 to trade at $69.18 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.37% to 39.99, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 46.97.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 96.99.
