Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology , Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ), which rose 2.74% or 18.80 points to trade at 706.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS: PRX ) added 2.07% or 0.99 points to end at 48.86 and ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ) was up 1.57% or 8.20 points to 531.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASR Nederland NV (AS: ASRNL ), which fell 1.35% or 0.78 points to trade at 57.20 at the close. Unilever PLC (AS: ULVR ) declined 1.22% or 0.64 points to end at 51.74 and Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS: AD ) was down 1.07% or 0.38 points to 35.01.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 51 to 47 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Prosus (AS: PRX ) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.07% or 0.99 to 48.86.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.75% or 0.50 to $66.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.62% or 0.43 to hit $68.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 27.30 to trade at $3,331.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 98.27.
